Psychology

After allowing the experience of telepathic extraterrestrial contact in conversations and images take place and documenting and describing it, and then having performed the beginnings of a literature search on other people's similar accounts of these experiences, I can now look at the opposing theory, the one that suggests that this is not the case of real extraterrestrial contact, but rather the case of a human psychological phenomenon, an experience generated by my mind, and occurring, only in my mind, and not from or in outer space.

I have, at least for the time being, decided to make this page white, to contrast it from the other pages that appear in black. The black pages represent or perhaps defend the hypothesis that my experience is real ET contact, and these white pages then will represent the alternative hypothesis that this is not the case of real ET contact.

ETs as psychological constructs

Openness - It is interesting to note that at first my immediate response to the idea of exploring this side of the hypotheses, is one with emotional resistance. Almost as if I would not want to find out that this is not real ET contact. Almost as if I might be embarrassed or disappointed to find out that what was an engaging personal experience was in fact not the scene that it played out. I am sure that each experiencer of these mental ET phenomena would feel the same way, when provoked to consider that it may all just be imaginary mind processes playing out.

One might have the need to defend the experience as real, because that in a sense, is defending oneself and one's integrity and claims of honesty. It is an instinctive response to want to defend the experience as genuine. And this will lead to adamant supporters of the fables found in the alternative ET cultures, fables that describe whole ET worlds and cultures to which its followers, both first-hand experiencers and others who tag along, abide by without applying any critical thinking. The accounts of these experiencers then construct these worlds whose all elements are taken by faith.

But, just as the experience itself was spontaneous and seemed to have nothing to do with my free will, this instinctive desire for it to be real or to defend it, is also spontaneous and outside of the free will. Recognizing both of these processes, the experience of contact itself, and the desire to defend the claims of authenticity of the experience, both as spontaneous, one can then transcend from these and detach from any emotional investment and begin to explore the truth. One can then observe these phenomena, as they are, from the neutral and objective perspective, which even has the benefit of winning in either case regardless of which of the hypotheses proves real.

Sleep paralysis phenomenon - To my surprise, my initial survey into this alternative hypothesis which would suggest that this ET contact is imaginary rather than real, reveals concepts that I personally find far more fascinating than the prospects of alien life. As an example I came across the sleep paralysis phenomenon. Turns out that humans, worldwide and across all cultures, may have an experience where they feel as if they are awake, yet they are in their bed and cannot move their bodies, and they have a very clear and compelling experience of an evil entity in their room. The entity will usually grab their legs, or place itself on top of the person, and people go through experiences of torture, rape, or other traumatic events.

What is interesting is that the exact nature of the experience will differ in terms of the appearance of the entities, what happens, and other details, but that there is an overall theme. There seems to be more to suggest, of course, that the sleep paralysis phenomenon is a psychological experience, rather than a real one. One might wonder whether real demonic entities exist and are able to take on a variety of shapes and choose to cause different forms of distress on the persons, but what is interesting is the parallel to many experiences of alien encounters.

An alien being, whether the Grey, a Reptilian, or perhaps even the Orions, might possibly be just more versions of the demonic entities that people encounter during sleep paralysis. Whether "demons" would exist or not, if the alien encounters are a sleep paralysis experience, then no real aliens would be involved.

Interestingly the entities encountered during the sleep paralysis will subject a person to traumatic experiences, such as torture or rape. The common theme among many ET encounters are medical procedures of a traumatic nature. I must add that I personally hold no aversions toward medical procedures, as I have years of work experience in the medical field and am headed toward a career dealing with medical research, so the medical elements can to me personally not be of a traumatic nature. Meanwhile I have experienced the so called discussions by the Draconians and the intermediary-level hybrid regarding their interest in involving me in their research of human sexuality, to be deeply disturbing and unsettling, yet, perhaps not to the extent that one would label "torture" or "rape", as these have only been discussions, and I have had no experience of anything being carried out.

Induced - I came across a study in which human subjects were given a particular type of chemical. This chemical is already produced by the pineal gland in the brain, but they were given an excessive dose of it. The chemical induced in persons the experience of encountering extraterrestrial beings. The persons chosen for this study were ones who were considered to not have any background or interest in the claims of ET visitations. There is a book written on the subject by the person who conducted this study. I will certainly elaborate on this topic as I learn more.

Of course, adhering to the promise to find out the absolute truth as opposed to choosing which camp to take sides with, we may need to allow the possibility that perhaps ETs are real and the chemical enhances a person's sensory reach to where they are able to experience the encounter.

Other explanations - One thing is for certain, that I am not intentionally fabricating my accounts of the experiences of telepathic ET contact, so I can personally rule out that from among the possible explanations, although of course you may not, since you have no evidence that I am not simply lying. I will continue to look into other possible explanations that support the experience not being based on real ET contact.

One question I have now, is whether having indulged in these theories for some time now, whether the experience of ET contact will subdue or cease. I have tentatively decided not to attempt or initiate any contact experiences, but rather to wait and observe when those do occur.
